San Gabriel POA and Santa Claus bring Christmas cheer to San Gabriel Children

The San Gabriel Police Officers' Association in partnership with the San Gabriel Police Department, and Airstream Los Angeles, held its 2014 Annual Christmas Toy Drive. This year's toy drive was an astounding success, as we were able to collect and pass out more toys this year than last year.  Each year, the San Gabriel POA holds it's toy drive, using the San Gabriel police station lobby, and the the showroom at the Airstream Los Angeles Dealership (1212 E. Las Tunas Drive, San Gabriel) as toy collection locations.  The toys are then given to needy children throughout San Gabriel.  As in years past, the POA teamed with Options Head Start, La Casa de San Gabriel, Asian Youth Center, and this year we added St. Anthony Catholic Church to the locations where we pass out toys to deserving children.  

The San Gabriel POA would like to formally thank Maurice Chan Executive Vice President from RBI Toys Inc., and David Rodrigues from Children's Hunger Fund, for their extremely generous donations of toys.  Each year, we receive large donations of toys for our toy drive from these two generous groups.  We would also like to thank all of the selfless individuals who took time out of their busy schedules, and donated toys.  Without all of you, we could not do what we do for the children.  

Finally, we want to thank Chief David Lawton, for allowing us to use the police station to collect and store the toys for the needy children of San Gabriel; and to Santa Claus for taking time out of his busy schedule to help us make Christmas so very special for very needy children.
